A short two-day loop from the Canadian side — Table Rock, the tunnels behind the falls, Clifton Hill at night, and a quieter morning across the Niagara Parkway.
I finally made it to Niagara with a simple plan: don’t rush the falls, and don’t pretend Clifton Hill is subtle. Two days on the Canadian side was enough to feel the spray, walk the tunnels, and still leave wanting one more sunrise.
This isn’t a checklist of every ticket — just what we actually did, and what I’d repeat.
From the trip
2 days on the Canadian side
Built around the Horseshoe Falls, with one loud night and one quieter morning on the Parkway.
Arrival & the roar
Arrive, Table Rock, and the first look
- AfternoonTable Rock Centre
Dropped bags, walked straight to the rail at Horseshoe Falls. Stood longer than planned. Mist on the lens within five minutes.
- Late afternoonJourney Behind the Falls
Took the elevator down into the tunnels. The wall of water at the open portals is louder than any photo suggests. Poncho earned its keep.
- EveningClifton Hill
Neon, fudge shops, and people-watching. Grabbed dinner nearby and walked back when the falls were lit. One slow loop along the rail before bed.
Parkway morning, then home
Quieter light and a last look
- MorningNiagara Parkway
Early coffee, then a short drive/walk along the Parkway for calmer views upriver. Fewer crowds than Table Rock at midday.
- Mid morningHorseshoe Falls overlook
One last stop at the main overlook for photos in softer light. Bought a too-expensive fridge magnet without shame.
- AfternoonRoad home
Headed out before the afternoon crush. Already talking about coming back in winter for the ice. test
