What this site is (and isn't)
This is a personal journal — stories, photos, destination notes, and tools Alex actually uses. It is not a travel agency, booking desk, or licensed advisor. Nothing here is professional travel, legal, medical, or financial advice. Plans change; always double-check visas, safety, and prices yourself.
Personal use
Content is for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't scrape, republish, or reuse photos and writing wholesale without permission. Linking to a story with credit is welcome; copying the journal is not.
No warranty
The site and content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Trip notes reflect personal experience at a point in time and may go out of date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Alex Fernandes / Fernandes Journeys is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from your use of the site, reliance on content, or bookings you make with third parties. Any action you take based on what you read here is at your own risk.
Acceptable use
- Don't attack, overload, or probe the site; don't attempt unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, or
/cms. - Don't use the site to spam, harass, or distribute malware.
- Don't create accounts with false information or share account credentials.
- Automated scraping that harms performance or bypasses protections (including Turnstile) is not allowed.
Accounts
Optional reader accounts (Google or email/password) are for saving posts and managing your profile. Keep your password confidential. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or threaten the site. CMS access is limited to allowlisted admins — reader accounts never unlock publishing tools.
Comments
Where comments are enabled: keep them relevant and respectful; a valid email may be required; first-time comments may be moderated; spam, self-promotion, and abusive content will be removed. This is not a booking desk — advice shared is personal experience only.
